This was Garrett before the surgery. I will spare you the after. It was not pretty.



This is the stent that went from his kidney to his bladder. There was a string hanging "out" for which he was to pull... The doctor said to wait 24 hours, but that 48 was fine too. So, we waited 43 hours! lol The stent was causing him a lot of grief tugging on "him". The stent was there to keep his ureter open in case is swelled from the suregery. If the doctor said it is ok to remove, it better be ok. We do not need any emergencies because his kidney is backed up. Please! The doctor said the surgery ended up being non-complicated and literally he was in the OR for 20 minutes. So, I guess that is why he was able to pull it out so soon as opposed to 5 days. Right now "he" burns and his back feel funny. I'm making him drink a lot to flush flush flush. I hope it improves soon.
